A proprietary data monitoring receiver has been integrated into the single phase solar inverter and aggregates the power optimizer performance data from each PV module. This data can be transmitted to the web and accessed via the SolarEdge monitoring portal for performance analysis, fault detection and troubleshooting of PV systems.
The single phase inverter comes with a built-in DC switch, is lightweight and can be installed by a single person on a supplied bracket.

I used this inverter for a 6.5 kWh west facing self install with TSMC 135W CIGS panels. The install was very straight forward and everything is working great. The inverter was very easy to program and the monitoring portal was also very easy to set up. Getting about 1.25 MWh per month and the summer hasn't even started yet.

Overall this is a good product and makes a good solution when combined with the optimizers. But the issue I see is system and panel level monitoring. This can be done with this solution.....but only if there is an internet connection to the SolidEdge servers. If you have no internet or SolidEdge folds, then you can't monitor your system! Also, I dislke that the unit has a fan. I would have preferred a much larger inverter with passive cooling such as large heat sinks. Or the requirement that the unit be bolted to a heat sink surface.
