How to Connect Enphase to WiFi : Envoy Troubleshooting Guide

Tatyana Grinenko 8/22/2018
To connect your Enphase microinvrters to the WiFi, you first need to have an Envoy to communicate the data to your MyEnlighten on your desktop/phone.

Here are the steps to connect your Enphase Envoy to WiFi:

1. Press the Top Button on your Envoy. The light above it should turn a solid green:

2. Go to your smart phones's WiFi Settings, and connect to the Envoy's wireless network. The name will include the last six digits of your Envoy serial number. (Make sure you have the MyEnlighten app downloaded for this)

3. Go online on your desktop to the MyEnlighten Overview panel, and click on System Details. Alternatively you can launch the MyEnlighten app on your smart phone, and go to Monitoring.

4. Set your Envoy's connection type to WiFi:

5. Enter password. If you did this on your smart phone, you will be prompted to enter a password, which is the last 6 digits of the Envoy's serial number. You can find the serial number either on the bottom or the back of the unit.

When your Envoy has connected successfully, the top LED light will be solid green like in the image below.

If you still experience trouble, check to make sure your internet connection is working. If it is, check to make sure that your Envoy is on. If none of the LEDs on your Envoy are lit, it is not powered on. Turn off and on the breaker feeding your Envoy or unplug and plug back in the device. If the Envoy fails to power up, contact Enphase for support.
