Solar Installations Are on the Rise As Solar Energy Costs Continue to Decrease
In the United States, it took from 1954 to 2016 to reach a total of 1 million solar installations. Wood Mackenzie Power & Renewables and Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) recently released that the U.S. has now exceeded 2 million installations! The U.S. solar market just experienced its best Q1 (2019) in history with 2.7 gigawatts (GW) of installed PV capacity. The estimated number of solar installations is supposed to increase to 4 million by 2023. 

Watch out—renewable energy is dominating power generation. 

A Brief History of Solar:


In 2014, Japan had installed 2 million PV systems. Australia achieved 2 million installations four years later. The U.S. now ranks third in the world for solar installations.
