On September 27, 2018 Governor Brown signed SB 700 into law, taking effect January 1, 2019! SB 700 won in the California legislature in August with Senate voting 25-12 and Assembly voting 57-18, followed by Governor Brown’s final approval.
This means that an additional $800 million in funding for the Self-Generation Incentive Program (SGIP) has been extended by an additional 5 years, until 2026.
