The Enphase cable is a continuous length of 12AWG cable with pre-installed connectors for Enphase microinverters to plug into. The cable is handled like standard outdoor-rated electrical wire, allowing it to be cut, spliced and extended as needed.
Enphase trunk cable is sold by the drop/terminal, meaning each “unit” of trunk cable consists of one length of the following:
The trunk cables are stored in large spools, and when an order is placed, an appropriate length of trunk cable is sectioned off…
…so when the installation is performed, your solar PV modules can be daisy-chained to the trunk cable, saving time on the installation.
These cables come in three lengths, based on the distance between drops. You will want to select the appropriate length depending on the orientation of your modules.
For medium-sized installations, we will include extra lengths trunk cables with your order. When paired with a sealing cap to seal off the unused drop/terminal, you can use the extra length to “jump” between rows using the same continuous piece of trunk cable.
