Amphenol Connector Options

Michele Ladd 3/27/2017

Amphenol Connector Options, part numbers broken down.

Customer Question: Are those connectors for 4.0mm or 12ga, I need the 6.0mm for 10ga!?!

RENVU: I did some research to understand the solution here. I did see the Amphenol PDF that shows the break down in the part number which would suggest you are correct. After speaking with our direct contact at Amphenol we found that those part numbers actually represent a difference of: machined vs. pressed. Both work with 10 and 12 gauge. To confirm this information please view the attached PDF-datasheet. This shows that the connector type H4CFC4 (or H4CMC4) does support 12-10 AWG wire. Since you do not been the machined connector, the quote is the most accurate part number at this time.
