Setting Up APsystems Monitoring with RENVU

Christopher Ho 12/31/2020

Did you just purchase your APsystems microinverters? Do you plan on buying them in the future?

Here is how to set up your APsystems monitoring with RENVU in just a few easy steps.

To preface, the installer is always responsible for configuring and setting up the monitoring for APsystems products. In the instance that there is no installer present, RENVU will set up the monitoring for you.

  1. Collect your microinverter serial numbers and ECU ID. The ECU ID is located on the back of the ECU and is a 12-digit number that begins with a “2”. The microinverter serial number is located on the removable label that comes with each APsystems microinverter.

  2. Create a mock array layout (can be drawn or created in MS Word or Excel) showing the panel’s placement.

  3. Indicate which panel correlates to which microinverter serial number when installed. An example is shown below, where the last four digits of each microinverter serial number are correlated to the physical position.

Alternatively, the panels can be numbered 1,2, 3,… etc., and the installation template from the APsystems microinverter manual can be used and sent to us along with an array drawing. See the following.

  1. Submit the array layout, microinverter serial numbers, and ECU ID to RENVU, and we will configure your monitoring setup for you.

  2. After configuration, you will receive an email from RENVU with your login credentials to the APsystems EMA. In the EMA, you will be able to view in-depth energy performance reports on your system down to the module-level.
